THE ONLY 100% PURE AND NATURAL, NO SUGAR, NO CALORIE, SCIENTIFICALLY TESTED, AND PROBABLY MOST EFFECTIVE IONICALLY CHARGED ELECTROLYTE SPORTS HYDRATION DRINK PRODUCT IN THE WORLD

The elete range of 100% natural ionically charged electrolyte products are derived from the evaporation of the mineral-rich water in the Great Salt Lake in Utah with nothing else added.elete contains all four of the key electrolytes (magnesium, potassium, chloride and sodium) in ionically charged form together with other beneficial naturally occurring trace and ultra trace elements which enable the body to:

Maintain hydration

Prevent muscle cramps

Sustain energy and endurance

Enhance mental focus

These benefits can help during all forms of exercise including training, when competing and can even aid a faster recovery. Common symptoms like dehydration, cramping and loss of energy can regularly hamper performance, but these can be rapidly eliminated by using elete whose perfectly balanced, ionically charged electrolytes enable quick, effective assimilation.

FURTHER BENEFITS OF ELETE

ELETE REDUCES AMOUNT OF WATER NEEDED TO HYDRATE BY MORE THAN 40% compared to water alone – a significant benefit when considering how heavy water is to carry. This was revealed in a peer review published study using forest fire fighters in California in the summer of 2008 carried out by The University of Montana, in which 8 fire fighters were given water withelete added and 8 were given plain water over a period of five days of intense forest fire fighting.
Shewee – as seen on Dragons’ Den – now available in 5 colours!

Essential festival kit for women!

Ever since God created mankind, and decided Adam needed that something extra to woo Eve, man has always had one small but significant advantage over the fairer sex – the ability to stand and wee!

Shewee allows girls to go where no girl has gone before – to the festivals without squatting, splashing or baring any nether regions. Great for using in a tent (with an Absorbent Pouch) and for standing at unhygienic portable toilets, urinals or Shewee-inals! It’s easy to use, discreet, reusable, and fits in your pocket. Shewee has shown thousands of women all over the world what they’ve been missing! The award winning portable urinating device allows women to urinate whilst standing and without removing clothes. It is easy to use, discreet, reusable, lightweight and it fits in a pocket. Now in five colours – Bright Pink, Blue, White, Nato Green and Desert Sand – you can be sure to find the right colour for you!

In the last year, Shewee has been supported by Bonita Norris, the youngest female Brit to climb Everest, raved about by record breaking polar explorer Ann Daniels, spoken about by woodsman and master of survival techniques Ray Mears and endorsed by Richard Branson’s team, Virgin Trains.

Even celebrities are shouting about Shewee! Fearne Cotton and Alesha Dixon used Shewee when they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. The DJ Dave Berry has spoken about Shewee numerous times on his XFM show as well as in Heat magazine. Katy Perry talked about the usefulness of Shewee at festivals on Channel 4. Davina McCall tweeted that she wished she had a Shewee when she was stuck in a traffic jam. Even Konnie Huq, the ex Blue Peter presenter, was seen on TV standing up at a urinal with her Shewee. And if that’s not enough, the TV show Hollyoaks wove Shewee into one of their plot lines!

Why Shewee?!

‘It struck me how much easier it was for a guy to go to the toilet in a place where there were no facilities or nowhere to squat behind’, explains Sam, ‘so I came up with a way of effectively urinating like a man. Men can just stroll up and be on their way in a few seconds, while women have to take off backpacks and clothing and then attempt to find somewhere to squat, all the time worrying about touching things for fear of germs and keeping their dignity. Shewee does away with all of this fuss’.

And now there are some perfect accessories to this perfect accessory

X-fronts for women – but why?!

The cleverly named underwear is not only tight, sexy and pink, but has a discreet fly in the front to slip a Shewee through, making it even easier to use.

Yup, these gorgeous hot pants really do encourage the wearer to ‘Stand Up and Take Control’.

The Absorbent Pouch

Shewee Ltd’s new Absorbent Pouch turns urine into a secure odour-free gel. The Absorbent Pouch allows women and men to urinate in their tent, saving the 15 minute trek to the nearest portable toilets at 4am!

The water resistant Case

This hot pink case is the perfect storage solution for the Shewee. It can be purchased on its own or as part of the ‘Shewee Extreme’. The Shewee Extreme includes a Shewee, a case and an extension pipe.

The Extension Pipe

This handy 15cm tube lengthens the Shewee outlet pipe. It is ideal to help you stand as far away from the unhygienic toilets as possible, to help aim into the Absorbent Pouch, or just to compete with the boys. And for the really brave, the Extension Pipe is great for poking out of the tent zip!

1 Shewee is sold every 10 minutes worldwide!

Great for using in a tent (with an Absorbent Pouch) and for standing at unhygienic portable toilets, urinals or Shewee-inals! It’s easy to use, discreet, reusable, and fits in your pocket. Shewee has shown thousands of women all over the world what they’ve been missing!

Company Directors Patrick Kelly & Seamus Kelly, are proud to be the fourth generation of 'Kelly's' to bring you their popular kettles.

The tradition of using the kettle as a method of boiling water at lunchtime, goes back to the 1890's in the West Coast of Ireland and the design has changed little since it was first introduced. Lough Conn is famous for its free rising brown trout and fresh run Salmon from the River Moy system. The lake provided (and still provides) ample fuel for use in the kettle, where washed up twigs, sticks and dried grass were easily available. On wet & stormy days, the local angling guides would keep watch for the small pillar of smoke on the lake shore which indicated that a colleague already had a 'brew' on! A hot cup of tea or soup awaited anyone who landed and the Kettle would be repeatedly boiled as additional boats laden with anglers arrived. Tradition dictates that both the angling guide (Ghillie) and his guests (usually 2 anglers to his boat) together would gather dry tinder for the kettle from the lake shore. Then, the Ghillie will set about boiling up the kettle which always amazed guests as it works even in the height of a storm! The Anglers will then be offered their fresh tea from the Kelly Kettle and in return for his hospitality, the Ghillie received lunch and perhaps a drop of whiskey from the anglers.

The Kelly family still provide a Boat Hire & Ghillie service on Lough Conn. Visiting anglers are as intrigued today as they were some hundred years ago with the speed at which the water can be boiled and through word of mouth, these anglers have spread word about the kettles worldwide. To this day, the Kelly-Kettle / Volcano-Kettle is still the centerpiece in any campsite. If you have seen one in action, you will understand why!

Increasingly gaining in popularity, our company now sells our Kettles all over the world from the USA, Canada, UK, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Germany and as far away as Zambia & Australia.

Mountain Junky was born out of my life-long passion for the outdoors. A true mountain junky from the start, when most thirteen year olds were playing football in the park I chose to spend my weekends out walking, backpacking and climbing. I was encouraged to try a number of other activities including boxing, weight lifting and rugby. I even spent several years as a Junior Leader in the Royal Engineers. But I quickly learned that I want nothing more than to get out to the mountains….and the more challenging the better!

My first serious trek was around ten years ago when I climbed Kilimanjaro. Since that time I’ve been all around the world. I’ve trekked Mount Everest, Island Peak, Meru Peak, Ama Dablam and Cho Oyu in the Himalayas, Aconcagua in the Andes…some of them several times. I’ve also organized and led several group treks to these same areas.

Originally Mountain Junky was a designed as a website for people who, like me, were addicted to the outdoors. I created a site for people to share their experiences and pictures….a place for junkies like me to describe and share their passion with other like-minded climbers.

The more I climbed the more I began to realise just how impractical a lot of the clothing options were for serious climbers. As many of you know, hiking clothes are generally split into three distinct layers: outer layer (shell), mid layer (usually a fleece jacket), and the base layer (long johns, socks, etc.). Each of these layers need to compliment the others and if one is not up to the job then the whole layering system falls apart!

Traditionally, base layers have been made of synthetic fibres such as polyamides or more recently Merino Wool. My experience with both has been a bit disappointing as they tend to smell after extended use and also lose their shape quite easily. This might not be such a big issue to a lot of people, but when you’re out hiking for weeks sometimes months on end it can be a problem….particularly for those unfortunate to be within smelling distance of you!

The other issue that really stood out to me is that man-made fabrics tend to leave a significant carbon footprint during the manufacturing process. And so began my search for a fabric that would address the issues of functionality, environmental concerns and sustainability. My searches lead me to Bamboo viscose.

The Mountain Junky range of garments address all of the issues I’ve had with traditional climbing clothes in that the Bamboo Viscose is biodegradable, sustainable, far more environmentally friendly than cotton, exceptionally comfortable when worn and naturally antibacterial, meaning the garment won’t smell, even after extended wear.

It’s been an interesting journey so far – finding the right materials and fabrics and developing each garment with my trekking experience in mind. But by far my favourite part of starting Mountain Junky has been putting the product to the test! I love nothing more than to put the kit through its paces….wear it in the most extreme conditions…and see it pass all of my expectations.

Since that time Mountain Junky has grown considerably. We’ve begun exploring another mixed fibre fabrics made of bamboo and Wool Ultra. Right now, you can find this mix in our range of socks. The fabric was designed for outdoor use and like all the Mountain Junky products has exceeded our expectations for comfort, practicality, and functionality. We’re currently working on a new line of boxers and long johns using this same mix of fibres.

Here at Mountain Junky we are always pleased to receive thought and feedback from our customers as we always endeavour to create a garment that is practical, functional, fit for purpose and as kind to the environment as possible.
