What it is:
Lightweight Nylon Fabric

How it works:  
Finely constructed from fine filament yarns (34 stands per bundle 10,000metres of each bundle weighing only 54 grammes) each filament 10 times finer than a human hair. the gaps between the fibres cause the moisture to wick across a larger surface area allowing it to evapourate more readily. as the perspiration is evapourating from within the fabric the user is not cooled.

Where it is used:
Ideal as a sleeping bag lining or as a casing fabric for lightweight low packsize insulated clothing.

• Wind proof to the industry standard of 3 cubic feet per minute (this keeps strong winds out or when used as a lining warm air and loft in)
• Water Repellent a British Standard Spray Rating of 4 Minimum (water repellancy can be maintained by a cool tumble dry after washing and periodic retreatment with suitable after care products such as Nikwax or Grangers)
• Completely manufactured within Europe (Extruded, Woven and Dyed & Finished)

As part of our continuing development process to keep our synthetic insulation at the leading edge we are pleased to introduce the next generation in sleeping bag technology. Softie Premier uses the same basic principles as traditional softie but improvements in extrusion technology and binding resins result in a finer, softer and more durable insulation. Both Softie and Softie Premier are exclusive to Snugpak.
